Faster queues would be the main thing to get me to PVP more often. Especially if queues were even possible for a larger portion of the day. I've started working night shifts lately so outside of two days I tend to work through the only time it's possible to PVP lately. And since I have so little free time in general, I'd often rather queue up for something I can expect to actually get into rather than spend an hour sitting in a PVP queue.
Also less folks whining and bitching about me dying (go figure, I'm not invincible when the other team decides to focus on me!) or not being able to perfectly LoS the enemy while maintaining constant line of sight and range to all my party members at all times would be a nice bonus.
Virtually nothing.
To quantify that statement I'd say: if the entire attitude of everyone on the internet everywhere and how they interact with each other changed.
Unranked 4 vs 4 or dropping penalties for loss altogether are the only way to keep continued play alive for feast.
The majority of pvpers are just twitching addicts who wanna get a fix as quickly and painlessly as possible. If the rumors are true regarding GC removal from FL, and seeing how well 8 vs 8 went when it actually popped, FL will increase waaaay more, even at night time. Against this speed. feast as things currently are, will continue to go extinct quicker and quicker (season 4 im betting will probably die even quicker since I doubt the reward wont generate even half as much interest as the inc mount for 3.
Currently, looks like only 2 types of people are playing feast now: Higher ranked diehards who wanna keep advancing their score for whatever reason and semi-casuals who just wanna get some form of pvp in. For anyone above say...rank 30, who has enough points to spare to eat a few losses, technically, theres no real reason NOT to play. For anyone below, just the thought of dropping in rank is disquieting and motivation to stay away. As long as people have to play with their backs to the wall so to speak, with something precious to lose, theyre not gonna wanna risk more than they have to. The lower down one is in the rankings, the less incentive they have to play once they get to a point of safety.
While no pointloss for loss converts ranked feast into something of a grind, it dfeinately DOESNT discourage people from continuing to try...in fact...it encourages it. "Assuming so-and-so doesnt play today...how many wins will it take me to catch up to him?" is alot more forward thinking than "If I lose this next match...how far will I fall?" And while 20 people will immediately give 40 seperate reasons why removing loss penalty is a bad idea, considering ques are already dead, not much to lose if you want some movement at all.
Unranked 4 vs 4 is the other option but thats gonna have to do with more just for love of the game (which would still be fine for me) And the best option of all...rating decay. Put a gun to everyones head and force em to actually have to work to keep their rank alive. Will this cause more stress and anxiety? MUCH more but....thats kinda the idea. If you care about your rank...you're compeled to keep fighting to defend it. Either way, until something drastic happens and people's hands are forced....feast isnt gonna improve any. I mean....this time around we're getting mounts, best motivation of all...and the problem of dead ques STILL remains...so obviously rewarding wasnt the solution t begin with.

First win of the day in soloq: 50 scripts, 200 lore, 500 wolf marks.. this way all PvPers can weekly cap winning 7 feast games a week
45% isnt that bad depending on the role you play. The only real reliable class that can carry are melees (mnks) and maybe few mchs. You can be the best healer on a datacentre etc. you can still end up being 45%wr or atleast around that. Why? Because you cant control boxes/adrenaline or helping to land a kill. Tanks are balanced besides drk which would need a buff tbh.
Also "no punishment for defensive play" lol k.
