Because that would be a significant waste of 2 iconic Final fantasy jobs that on their own can make for strong marketing pull as separate jobs rather than some wonky amalgamation. They have always been focused on delivery of Final fantasy nostalgia, and mashing two iconic jobs together (for absolutely no logical reason) is a terrible idea.


Will be nice when the Frankfurt Fan Festival happens and all these rumors are put to rest when they make the official announcement of what the next job will be.
An entirely brand new original job at this point would be cool. Are they brave enough to do it, or play it safe by relying on job brand recognition? Stay tuned, true-believers.
