Prices of items from the SE store and it's lack of service outsdie of NA and JP

One of SE's store main problem has always been it's inability to ship overseas without the means of 3rd party (EZbuy & Commsgate) and something like a ODIN figurine would cost at least 270-300$ AUD/SGD getting it shipped to it's respective country due to its volumetric weight, you can always purchase up to 2 plushies in NA for every 1 plushie you ship to the SEA countries. I could only purchase the lorebook from CDJapan or Kinokuniya which doesn't have the english version, yet it is priced at 90$ SGD/AUD

So I was wondering why does SE seem to have this issue for FFXIV, considering that it has a quite a big player base outside of NA & JP. FFXV UCE had its R3 exclusive and was available for shipping.

I don't know if America proper gets better rates, but my shipping prices to Canada make my wallet cry. This was direct from my Receipt for the CE of Final Fantasy Explorers for 3DS:

    Subtotal: $69.99
    Shipping: $33.99
    Taxes: $0.00
    Total (incl. taxes): $103.98

And that's in US dollars. I ended up paying $151.05 in Canadian dollars for a 3DS game.

You had to rely on 3rd Party too? There has been several discussion about this in other forums and SE did mention that Asia does not have support, which was rather vague and cannot be considered a proper reason. Nier is a good example, the blackbox version is prices at 190USD, with shipment and 3rd party, the conversion is close to 400-420, almost on par with FFXV UCE R3. Imagine a cait sith plushie costs 67USD just to bring it to singapore lmao, and that is for an item with no box and requires less safety precaution. Shipping a collector's edition box or a play art kai figurine would cost way more.

Part of it, SE does not actually run the online store, it is run by a third party. If you look at the bottom of the webpage, Scalefast Inc is the company that handles the business transactions for the SE online store. So depending on where their distributions centers are located, they would have to pay customs and international shipping costs to deliver physical goods to outside countries.
