The weapons a one handed sword, it looks like. It doesn't look large enough to be a great sword, and the white coat definitely doesn't look anything like any of the enemies that I've seen wear, yet that scene was apparently important enough to merit inclusion in the trailer. To me, it looks very much like Aymeric.

The sword is also white, not blue (Aymeric's color of choice), which was the same color as the one the Griffin wielded in a press release screenshot for 3.5. Add that to the white hood and white cloak that the downed figure has, I just cannot believe that to be Aymeric. The weapons a one handed sword, it looks like. To start, Aymeric wears blue not white. Secondly, if it was a one handed sword, then the weapon wouldn't appear so visibly in the screencap; so it's a great sword, and lastly after looking at the picture closely then looking at this character's outfit

The torn ends of the cape plus the sword matches perfectly. So I conclude, it's the Griffin doppleganger.

That marketing at the end though. "Over 6 million adventurers worldwide"

Is that where FFXIV is at now? I wonder if that's active subscriptions or just created accounts. Big difference there. Still, if FFXIV -does- have 6 million active accounts world wide, that would be impressive. They'd be the first game to manage that since World of Warcraft, no?
Not sure I see what you see.
From other threads talking about it when it was only at 5 million sounded like it only registered accounts. Is that where FFXIV is at now?
