Good to hear.I've confirmed with the dev. team that they won't be making it possible to dye job-specific equipment in the future. For some people, jobs and their equipment hold a special image in their minds and there might be those put off by the fact that the image can be altered by being able to dye them multiple colors. We want to maintain that special image by keeping the equipment uniform.
Who on earth would want to dye AF gear anyways??
What's next, Dyeing Ifrit weapons?

You're right, can't be specifically dyed, but there will be different colors that we don't know of yet (which was the point of my comment).
For your question, I think someone already answered.

People whom wish to have a different look may be? The question could also be asked who on earth would post a pointless/unneeded and sort of attacking reply?
Oh wait you did... so we know that answer.
Maybe you should think about why you need to post such things at all? These people had a question and a wish to be able to change the color of certain gear... it was answered by the dev team and your pointed response is unneeded as I said.
For those that want it I will post links here... I will try and get as many as I can to show the jobs in all iterations of them in the different games.

(note FF Legends: Hikari to Yami no Senshi does not have pics but if you click on the listed jobs they give descriptions like this for WHM: As White Mages, the party will wear either the traditional White Mage from the series; a white robe with a red trim, or a white robe with a grey trim. Both variations wear their hoods up.)
Oh and before you or anyone else for that matter go off about the changing colors and such I am in the group of I don't really care. If people want to change the colors or do not wish to change the colors it does nothing to me really... and I could care less.
However no matter which side comes out and asks things I will generally try to help that side understand the other sides point of view. Do not ask me why I do it it is sort of a curiosity for me to see if I can truly ever understand you humans and your thinking.

All anyone really has are assumptions Coglin. Thought if you do look at the pics on page 8 of the moogle weapons... they are what they put in the vid they showed. So you could assume that they will be what is in the concept unless changes are made but I'm going to go with a probably not going to change since Yoshi has said he wants to bring back the Final Fantasy feel to the game but putting in some of the more traditional Final Fantasy things like chocobos, airships and the way the jobs look.

You are right that models change overtime due to 3D. However, it isn't the case with these characters. While these characters derive from a classic job, they do not directly tell you they are that class (Could make FFIX an exception to this). Their attire is for the purpose of matching the character's characteristics and personality. When you make the jobs and their armor, you have to make something that lets others know that you are "this job".This is really up for debate since tradition has changed ever since the games went 3D.
Tifa/Zell are considered Monks but they don't wear the tradintial gi attire
Freya is a Dragoon but her design looks nothing like the traidiontal
Eikko was a White mage but didn't didn't wear the traditional robe (Garnet did during the first bit of FF9, but the irony is she was the more potent summoner while Eikko was the better White Mage, yet had the summoner horn)
Garnet - See above
Khimari was a Dragoon/Blue Mage, but his gear didn't suggest that
EDIT: Hey kids! The secret word today is "assumption". When you see someone type assumption in their post, you need to scream REAL LOUD!![]()

Thats not true in the least. Drawings of "concepts" and a video of gear already in game in a video in which the dev specifically said in the post "lets give you a peak at loot that "Good King Moggle Mog XII" will bring!" are two entirely diffrent things.
