I had no problems distinguishing what I was fighting since the look remains the same. I was always under the impression that the iconic style of the outfit determines the job, not the specific color. I'd honestly rather be able to have color variations for a JSE set with each new JSE set released having an entirely different yet familiar look. Though I'll admit that a few jobs have specific colors associated with them (mages mainly). Besides, not all Jobs have iconic colors or even specific styles. Look at MNK and NIN for instance. Changes every game they are in. Even DRG doesn't have a specific color (Green/Blue/Purple/Black/E-Body Blurple).

And like someone mentioned earlier, since we can't freely dye and redye gear till 2.0, probably not a good idea to have the option on JSE if it's not re-attainable.
