    I'm fine with either decision, but I think I like the idea of tier armors more. Yoshi said himself he wants to phase out equipment every three months. Would make sense to make tier AF armor.

    They could go the Empyrean route and just let you upgrade it in x way every time it's 'phase out' time. I'd have said just let you +1 - +x it through quests or new raid material but that would be too FFXI like and people would be crying pools of blood..messy messy.

    Though I think AF gear would be exempt from the 'phase out' rule, since it would be gear tailored specifically for classes/jobs. (Jobs I believe?)
