What you seem to be unable to grasp is that gear color is as much of a part of a Job's identity as the model it uses. It's no poor excuse as much as you'd like to think it is.

Here's a crazy thought, if you want "uniqueness" in the current system you can *gasp* make up your own unique gear for your classes that you can choose to not wear on any other but one class. There, problem fixed. Oh wait, no, that sounds retarded. Just like yellow Dragoons and green Black Mages.

Its your opinion that color of the gear is representative of a jobs identity, not mine, his or many others.

You mention what sounds "retarded". What sounds "retarded, is someone who did not pay the 60 bucks for our disk or who will not be paying our monthly fees when the time arises, telling us we can't have a color of gear we want. Especially if some of us leveled craft just so we can do such things with our gear.
