Your all dumb, I doubt it was any single group of player(s) opinion that made the dev's call. Its ICONIC to the series, it holds something dear TO THE SERIES AND THE DEVELOPERS; it was ultimately their choice, stop bickering like a bunch of baboons over something so trivial.

To the people even thinking about mentioning "The way it was in XI" Jobs existed since the CONCEPTION OF THE SERIES, so get off that mindset that everyone it referencing a time in Vana'diel...sheesh!

To the people who wanted more colors: AF > Relic > Legendary > ??? > ??? My point being there can be many tiers of the armor that vary in what the give to the player and what the look like (this includes color) so you win.

To the people that want no dying the armor, well according the the Dev response, you will as well.
