Good to hear.I've confirmed with the dev. team that they won't be making it possible to dye job-specific equipment in the future. For some people, jobs and their equipment hold a special image in their minds and there might be those put off by the fact that the image can be altered by being able to dye them multiple colors. We want to maintain that special image by keeping the equipment uniform.
Who on earth would want to dye AF gear anyways??
What's next, Dyeing Ifrit weapons?

My Threads: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/s...vBForum_Thread

People whom wish to have a different look may be? The question could also be asked who on earth would post a pointless/unneeded and sort of attacking reply?
Oh wait you did... so we know that answer.
Maybe you should think about why you need to post such things at all? These people had a question and a wish to be able to change the color of certain gear... it was answered by the dev team and your pointed response is unneeded as I said.
For those that want it I will post links here... I will try and get as many as I can to show the jobs in all iterations of them in the different games.

(note FF Legends: Hikari to Yami no Senshi does not have pics but if you click on the listed jobs they give descriptions like this for WHM: As White Mages, the party will wear either the traditional White Mage from the series; a white robe with a red trim, or a white robe with a grey trim. Both variations wear their hoods up.)
Oh and before you or anyone else for that matter go off about the changing colors and such I am in the group of I don't really care. If people want to change the colors or do not wish to change the colors it does nothing to me really... and I could care less.
However no matter which side comes out and asks things I will generally try to help that side understand the other sides point of view. Do not ask me why I do it it is sort of a curiosity for me to see if I can truly ever understand you humans and your thinking.
The cat is bemused =-.-=

Hate to break it to you but those are recolored sprites that are used for the 8-way movement system of the RPG Maker series (looks like Mack-style to be precise) Yes they are a "rip" from Tactics, but that's not "Tactics" so try not to sell it that way, k, thanks.
Dragoon as my favorite job of all time, has always been: Purple-black (the hue might change depending on the game, but its always that purple/black scheme; never seen a legitimate green one >.>)
Monks were traditionally light blue and became Orange/red later in the series (again not crazy amounts of different colors)
Ninjas are traditionally deep red or black (or a mix of both) through out the series (again not a crazy amount of different colors)
Just Google image search "Final Fantasy JOB_NAME" (make sure to use the parenthesis to make sure its only FF jobs and not different games, like if you did Final Fantasy Dragoon, you get results for Legend of Dragoon as well, which is totally different, lol)
@OMEGA_HACK
BLM
In Green
In Purple
In Red
DRG
Red, Blue, Purple
Aqua (Blue/Green)
You were saying? Ninjas have been various colors as well... Green/Red/White/Black/Blue/Purple. Monks have are even worse when it comes to color variation and style variation.
I'll admit I was wrong with the green Dragoon (aside from in FFT, yup green dragoons up in thar too) since it was Aqua.
Devs have spoken anyway so it's all a moot point.

Indeed..i runned out of keyword ideas to find them...dragoon is a too generic name...would be easier just find my FFTA and search a clan with a DRG on their team lol

Your comparing water color Amano concept art to actual in-game icons? How absurd. If you ONLY referenced Amano art then you'd quickly realize that most if not all his art is colored differently than what actually happens. Okay I will admit I have no honest answer to Faris being a red dragoon, honestly I forgot about it, but 1 character out of how many were the traditional Purple to black color scheme? All the rest.
On the Tactics...YOU cannot get a red/green/blue color variants, I hate having to explain the obvious, but here we go.
You are taking a system style (Tactic battle system) and trying to warp its function to your betterment, what you fail to realize is that the ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM is also Red/Purple/Green/Blue/etc. Its a common function in Tactics based video games to better represent opposing units vs your own units. To provide you with proof to this claim you need look no further than the evidence you have provided, if you want additional proof then go open a copy of Star Craft 1 or 2 and play the multiplayer, you will quickly notice there are a set number of colors you can choose from to distinguish your own units from the enemy units.
Its a shame that you have resolved to use "parlor-tricks" so to speak to make a claim where you have none. I'm not being mean, I am being factual.
How about an ingame sprite? That work for ya?
And you're not explaining anything not already known regarding FFT. You missed the entire point of me even linking those pictures to begin with.
