Free Company Roster - Search functions, utility.

    Hi Square,

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this thread. I would like to suggest an update to how Free company rosters work. I am an officer in Tonberry PIE <PIE> on Gilgamesh. Keeping track, promoting, updating our in game roster is very tedious.

Currently there is no utility to sort the FC roster. There is no ability to sort members by rank, name, date joined, last online. I would like to see in the future an improvement to the FC system allowing some sort of search and sort function.

If any in the community have are interested in these changes I encourage you to post here and give your thoughts on the subject.

Ohey, Im also a PIE officer. I would have to agree that this suggestion is a neccessity for large FCs like PIE. I cant imagine how useful it would be for FCs that keep around 500 members.

Basic sorting functions would be useful even for non officers. Being able to sort by rank would make it easy to see who is what rank.

    On the member list:
    1) Remove the rank names column. It's just redundant and inefficient at this point. The icon column is good enough, and it'll free up some space. The icons are supposed to exist so that text wouldn't be necessary.
    2) Sort by name or by rank.
    3) Save the filter setting so that it doesn't forget when logging off.
    4) Adjust the tooltip placement, so that it's not obstructing names above or below the currently highlighted name. Good tooltip design should mean the popups be outside of the user's navigation path.
