    More action oriented combat! ~no auto-attack~

    So, the past day I have been playing Blade 'n Soul. It made me miss the old "action" combat we used to have(ya know, pressing 111111). The game is in closed beta and is sooooo fun. I feel like I'm playing an... anime. It also has great animation for everything. Though the animation I like is the jumping/running. I am one of those people who doesn't like jumping, but the way they implemented them, it's, pretty/fun. You can even jump in the air and attack. All I have to say is, FFXIV would be amazing with a more action combat system like we used to have. So, they should have used their resources to build off that old system and not use AA.

    That is ok, I'm not expecting anything from making this thread, just thought I would share my opinion. Also, blade n soul~ The first part of it, is more epic than the last CS in FFXIV!~ I need more epic CS in my FF!

    Rather than having the slow combat they do now, they should have made the game ARPG similar to DC Universe Online. Spells still have animations but no animation locks, you are more free to run around, able to dodge some special attacks and overall the combat feels more fluid, similar to a fighting game. I think that would make the game a lot more fun, rather than standing around trying to generate TP only to use it all on one TP Spell and then sit there building more TP.

    I have to agree with this. I gave DCUO a shot finally since it's free now, and the combat is hella fun. Button combo's rock!!

    Or.. since they are currently rewriting everything for 2.0, maybe they still have time to copy Skyrim's combat. I've had difficulty pulling myself away from that, even to hit 50 here.

    well lets hope cause as it is now its still very very slow and overall, bad.
    i see no need for a press11111 system, no need at all, but the current system is far too restricting , the animation locks gotta go,completely. doing nothing but waiting for tp for every solitary move is silly as well, the auto attacks are fine to have but indeed could be more frequent.

    so much of the current battle system is still flawed and still feels like the game is 10 yrs in the past. i realize they are indeed revamping it and i can only pray to the almighty Moogle that it finally is smooth, fast paced (not necessarily fast kills just a fast constant pace to actual fighting) and realistic in design when major patch is released.

    not so much focus on "tp only(<--which in itself is as slow as molassas to get) or you are just standing there looking foolish" Oo

    People were sick of spamming 11111111111 so SE gave us auto attack, now you want 11111111 back, wont happen because the community already said they wanted auto attack, find the people that asked for it in the first place its because of them that we have auto attack.

    Cant people make up thier minds, one day they want something, and the next they dont.

    We need another Gath derailment in here.

    Getting rid of Auto-Attack:
    1. Create a Macro
    2. "/echo <me> hits <t> for x amount of damage."
    3. Turn on Toggle Macro
    4. Attack Mob
    5. Press CTRL or ALT
    6. Keep pressing 1
    7. Are you still pressing 1?
    8. Good boy.
