Ill pass on typing out code as I play the game.

I just want to throw this out there.
I've always known Final Fantasy to be a strategic RPG, not an action base RPG. Sure there is other games that is action base rpg like Tales etc, but that is because they've always been that way. FFXIII being the exception.
hahah, my summation of base FF strategy is either being a high enough level to not have to worry about items/abilities due to hours of excess mob grinding, or by spamming items/heals to stay alive while zerging/nuking the enemy.
FF has never cared much for manual movement on the battle field, its all so very stationary.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
also, as a form of engaging your foe, that would equal two foe engagements. engaging your foe should only be your attack on it. the other one does nothing but stops you from toggelling your other action bars. this is bad design and i hope it gets changed.

I doubt SE will beable to compete with these "next gen" MMOs personally.
Just looking at Tera, GW2 and Blade and Soul gives me a bad feeling about this games future.
Thats not to say that people won't continue to play this game but its going to remain very niche.
Maybe 2.0 will prove me wrong.

on other hand, if I remember right, 2.0 will release around december 2012 ? afaik, Tera for eu/us will release at early 2012 so there wont be any really competition as when ppl begin to get used to the game, bored of it, 2.0 of FFXIV will be there and snatch the customer back, sound good on paper no ?
that same exact logic applies to 2.0 though, snatch people up till theyre bored of it and move on either to the next new MMO or back to one of the other ones released in 2012 (GW2, Tera, Blade and Soul). it would leave only niche fans as the masses who got bored realized they wanted an action MMO.I hope 2.0 will prove you wrong
