Somewhat insane housing suggestion...

Alright, so while I was going through the Weeping City questline just now I had an insane idea. What if we could get airship housing?

We could literally trade in our current locations for an airship instead. One we could use to fly to any of the city-states, if not anywhere flying is allowed, and dock. We could build it out to our specifications so we could have private rooms and a place for a stable or garden. We might even be able to upgrade it from small to medium to large. It would basically have all the same perks as a normal house, it would just be on an airship.

I know that might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I personally would go nuts over the idea that my wanderlust driven adventurer could literally pick up house and go anywhere whenever she wanted. Especially if I could customize the ship to appear different ways.

I realize that this is probably not viable under the current system, and probably not even Stormblood's, but oh please devs... consider the idea? I would give up my house in Mist in an instant for something that cool!

Similar to the floating island idea that's been suggested a few times. It would be fun, but considering the amount fuel/repair kits cost I'd be worried what the devs would come up with for upkeep for an airship of that size. Regardless though, any type of instanced singular housing would be welcome to offset the current player to house ratio.

That is a really cool idea. I think it will tie in well with Ishigard if they do put new housing zones there.

You take your flying mount and just fly to the housing zone. Instead of a ward, you are instead teleported to an instanced area with your airship and land.

Very much supporting this idea! You could even do it similar to apartments to lower the load for the servers (loading the airship only when you enter it), and we could live wherever we like!

And not just one type of airship, but several -- so that we are not limited to a single room (apartment style) but the equivalent to a medium house or even mansion possible as well

Another (kinda) fix for the ongoing housing crisis: YES PLEASE!!!
