Why so toxic?

I think its just because at the end of the day we are humans , ha you see the same type of arguments on facebook when someone dresses their cat in a bunny suit its always gona be someone in opposition. Alot of people shut my ideas down but I shut others down as well its just always gona be two sides to the coin.

Majority of in game community are really nice. Don't judge them by what you read on fourms because that is not even 10% of the community.

Both just seem as toxic to me, reddit mainly gets downvoted like you said however and toxic posts here linger. This community is still leaps and bounds more positive than most from my experience

Forums always seem to be more toxic than any place else. Specially if the forum thread is about something negative about the game, the toxic posts just flow.

Whenever there are gamers. There will be a toxic cesspool flowing around here and there. It's just a matter of how you deal with it.


I do have to say I see a lot of "My way or the highway" on this forum. A looot.


Otherwise eh, you wan't a Toxic community? Go to OGPlanet. Their player base can't carry on a constructive debate without cursing at each other. (If you call "Well this content is bad because it's terrible." Constructive)

Reddit is way more lighthearted than the forums is. It mostly seems to be about entertaining, everyday fun things people do either in the game, or things inspired by the game. There is some discussion, but it's overridden by fan art and glamours,

The forums seem to be more about discussing the active development of the game, things that should be changed, added, removed, etc. Discussions on announcements and reveals as well.

Things a more serious here, so one's personal feelings are often laid on the table along with whatever they posted, making it easy for someone to feel apprehension, and even easier for someone who's simply posting a differing opinion to be misunderstood as hostile or offending.

That's all I see whenever I'm linked to that place I mean I don't have to click on the threads but iirc there's already little sub forums for those.
I can't really stand reddit "humor" either, it's hard to describe what it is but it just reminds me of dad jokes, "look at this silly thing I screencapped you've probably already seen before" and dated memes.

Reddit is 100% more toxic then these forums. If you have any want for QoL because there is a singular aspect of the game you are unhappy with, you will be flamed on Reddit. You will also be flamed here, but Reddit is 100% worse.
