I could do this in XI and I'm pretty sure it's made by Square o.O Since you traded Assault points for gear, you traded Ampoules and Nyzul Tokens for items and gear (temp items and Mythic weapon items, amps for gear) and Curor for items and gear (temps/upgrade items etc) so it's something they've done before lol, which is why it wasn't present in XIV, the whole "different from XI" route Tanaka originally took.

I rather see it used for BCNM type stuff like before, just not with the low drop rate on worth while stuff, since unlike other raids, you're on a timer based on how much beastcoins you have, so it has to be balanced around the fact people won't have limitless supplies of coins, whereas you have as much time as you want to dedicate to strongholds/ifrit etc.
