Final Fantasy XV rush over is passed?

Last day I got my first login queue for the last weeks regardless of peak time or not. (Moogle Server, European Datacenter)

I've also noticed more players online in outposts or hunting around.

Do you observe the same thing? Are the players who went busy playing FF XV come back more active in FF XIV?
Or do you think its due to some other factors?

To my knowledge a majority of the fans beat the game within the first week or so. Granted being on Coeurl, I havn't noticed any real decline either way.

Yes, end of holidays might be a factor, but I've noticed a sunden decline since FF XV release which so started before holidays, when suddenly the login queue at peak time did not appear anymore (usually I had always something like queue: 12~24)
Hmm I guess the incoming days will comfirm that feeling or not

About the hype, is not too soon for it to have a real effect? The expansion is still like 6 months away.

Consumers (e.g. us players) are easily swayed into things. With the expansion hype, it'd guarantee that at least some players that quit previously, be it for FFXV or any other game from however long ago, will feel compelled to come back sooner, rather than later. Nostalgia and imposing prerequisites are often more than enough to trigger that result. The power of marketing spans far deeper than most people think (thus the attraction). Newer players, or those with little attachment, tend to be the ones who start back up later or closer to said thing that caught their attention (the expansion).

Plus people are getting an early jump on currency grind for pvp crossover event.

Eh no different from what I have noticed as Balmung is always busy with the amount of people it has.

I've noticed people coming back too. RDM hype and it's almost patch time help too.

Patch 3.5 part 1 is just around the corner so of course players are coming back.

I never trust the queue. You can just cancel it then enter again to bypass it. So much for that "queue"
