To be the Chocobos

Ok, no joke. How about being able to be the chocobos. Available chocos depend on how many players are chocobo morphed (with the great power of an unknown stone from a really hard quest, you have the picture) And when you are a Choco, you can get quest choco style, like go get that weird plant in that unreacheable area that only chocobo can go to and use it to craft specials good with your normal character. Ppl would tip you on how good you rided them to destination + a stepcounter as a basic charge. Communication with rider would be ordered only with arrow display and go fast / slow / stop icons. You could also do choco-quest to upgrade your choco for faster ones. Stepcounter become more expansive this way.

They could join battle solo or mounted but timed action between choco and rider would deal greater dmg, they would be party usefull for extra inventory capacity, fast deplacement.

Race of your chocobo can transport certain type of players races. That or you can quest new mounts for your chocobo.

Chocobo with an 8 places car attached to it would be like one of the end-game goal for chocobos. More money for groups transportation.

Get rid of anima, have a safe lazy trip, add communication, goal and fun. Have your chocobo.

what do you think? Se is lookin for a unique way to implement those yellow bird in XIV.

And for the faster chocos you could use colors to identify and black choco would fly you to bahamut tower, etc.

riding race would depend on your choco race itself. Would add even more identity to races.

Its not a bad idea but imma pass on it, I'd rather just raise/train/rent a choco and call it a day. No offense to you creativity my vertically challenged friend.

lol thought i was the only one that used "Verticly Challenged"

sounds alot like a Chocobo world thing to me, assuming of course youve played it, or the chocobo side quests on FFXI.
I personally like the idea! though instead of morphing I'd say controlling the choco would be better
(I'm still getting over the fact SE made it snow in the middle of the Desert! MIND HAS BEEN BLOWN!!! yes i know Christmas was ages ago...)
moving on, Very interesting idea, But most of us would be happing just sitting on a Chocobo's back.
