    Suggestion: Bring back motion capture to cutscenes.

    In 1.0 the games cutscenes used motion capture like other Final Fantasy games in the series did, which in turn created a sense of realism, and enhanced the games experience. Does it matter to you that they dropped it? Or would you like to see it return?

    I would even like the devs to go further into Western cutscene territory and have the player able to move around during them XD(Half-Life, ARPG).

    The cutscenes however already take long enough, if there was motion capture on top of that there would be even more work put into them. So less work on other factors. I would personally enjoy the game more if the GAME was good and not the cutscenes. If the game plays like shit, but it has fantastic cutscenes; I don't care I won't play it.

    More work on the gameplay aspects so we can have things to do in the game. You watch a cutscene and it's over, no gameplay.

    I really liked the 1.x cutscenes too, maybe between the increase in budget and the support of PS3 being dropped this could be a thing.

    While I much preferred the movement of PC's and motion capture cutscenes it sounds like a whole lot of time, effort and money that could be better spent somewhere else. ; ;

    ARR does use motion capture though - the end credits acknowledge motion-capture actors for this very thing. Personally I prefer ARR's engine to 1.0's engine (Crystal Tools) as that can at least render a more detailed environment and crowd scenes with more than ten people in them, unlike Crystal Tools....

    Isn't it also more expensive to use motion capture? Regardless, I THINK the antagonist for the Ninja LV 30 to 50 storyline was supposedly done with motion capture since a lot of his flamboyant movements can't be done with the vanilla motions.

    I feel like more can be done with this game's cutscenes. As it is, they all feel very stiff and lacking in emotion. Every time a character has a very dramatic line, I end up giggling madly instead of feeling the emotion of the scene because the character models just looks so ridiculously stiff. xD That and whenever characters do that strange facial-contortion they have decided is what an expression is like. Oh gosh, it kills me with lols.

    If they put just a bit more work into the cutscenes, to make them feel more Final Fantasy-like, that would be a wonderful improvement. They aren't bad by any means, they're just stiff, and could use improvement. im not saying pour everything into the story, I'm just saying that if they put just a little bit more into it with an increased budget, it could really help the games experience.

    While it would make the cutscenes better I don't see it happening because of the cost. Cost is the reason for not having voiced over all cutscenes. Half of them are muted with our character nodding for yes and make big eyes for terror. Let's not forget it's an MMORPG and not a AAA single player game. Priority is content and fixing bugs/balancing things. If they could afford implement more voiced scenes and better more cinematic cutscenes without sacrificing crucial parts of development then yes I would be glad.

    Totally disagree, in-game CSes are far more 'realistic' as by definition they LOOK THE SAME as the game you're playing, not some super-quality movie. I've always liked how FFXI and FFXIV scripted the engine with MY CHARACTER where it was appropriate, clearly that can't happen with pre-rendered CSes.
