I woinder if they are still thinking about this, playing through Nier on pc atm and the game is absolutely stunning with amazingly gorgous weapons and outfits.

Probably thinking, "Shet....this game is actually amazing. We can't have this in FFXIV, it'd make us look bad! I can here Yoko Toro's laugh already, dammit!" I love Yoko Toro's story telling abilities, it just seems more engaging regardless of combat. It'd be cool if they allowed him to directly help with the collab event. Maybe let us fight Emil for some weapons X)
I would love a collab of XIV with Nier Automata
2Bs outfit would look amazing on my BLM ^^
There is basically a weapon already for every class in the game in Automata
I want an Ho229 flight unit as a mount
- Mech mode and Flight mode interchangeable
Lunar Tear as an accessory
Pod minions
Orchestrian Rolls of Automata music if possible

As an aside, how does the game run on your setup? My frames drop to 30 in cutscenes and stutter between 48 and 50 in the city but go for a smooth 60 almost everywhere else. My graphics card is a 6gb gtx1060.
I'm not much interested in other FF x-over events, this one has nothing whatsoever to do with Final Fantasy except it's published by SE, it has no part in FFXIV IMO.
Yokai Watch did? Dragonquest did? I really don't understand why people feel the need to express their disinterest in threads like these. Does it really add anything useful to be against an event? Does it increase the odds of getting an event you are more in favor of?
Again, the Dragonquest event made sense in XIV because it didn't involve any specific character from the DQ games. The golems were monsters (to which we can argue were created by an artistic mage) and that was about it from DQ.
NieR is set in a land that is completely unrelated to Final Fantasy's universe (the void does not exist) and... there are so many moments I can spoil the game that I can't even make a clear argument on why an Automata cross-over event won't work/happen. The most you can hope for is clothing from the games to appear in the Mogstation, or from real world events like for those for the Maid/Butler glamour, or that new event currently going on in Japan.
Yokai Watch is an odd case, but we can argue that because magic is involved, then it's possible for Yokai to be in XIV. Even though I still hate it.
NIER is a great game but it doesn't fit in the world of FFXIV. It's just wouldn't be right. It would feel awkward and odd. So a big resounding No from me
Except this is a game, there is no need to apply arbitrary limitations because "NieR's lore." To quote you from the other thread, "as the FF characters used in that game are not directly from the game they originally came from", you would be taking the NieR characters and inserting them into XIV EXACTLY like that. As long as they're not "directly" from the game they originally came from, it's all good right?
And again, I don't see why anyone feels the need to say "no" in these threads as if it's somehow helpful input. Is it? I'm gonna say "no", myself.
