Same gears, that are not unique, can still have different dye, spiritbound, remaining durability and materiasIncreasing the stack size would already make a huge difference, besides that SE should make most things that are not unique, like equipment, be stack-able, that way we would have more space and they couldn't use as excuse it uses too much data!...
Two bytes of data per item would do fine, it could go up to 65,535 units per stack!...

I mean, honestly, who would care if they have a bunch of beast tribe tokens they won't need anymore in their currency tab? It's much better than having them take up inventory slots. XDGranted, they very well could add those tokens to the currency tab for seals and such, but they don't want to put you in a position where you've collected a thousand tokens from a 2.x beast tribe that you can't ever get rid of. The current system allows you to get rid of those tokens you no longer needed.
I was meaning even more simple then putting stuff into tabs. I get that they have bad design issues. I was going one simpler every tribe gives same token. Shrinking down recipes. A quick search shows we have five different types of blood in game. If you can't solve the technical aspect of the issue why not start with a simpler solution. Instead of charging/punishing the player base.
Not the point. Those tokens sitting in a tab like that have data associated with them which needs to be accounted for. With them able to be tossed aside when you no longer need them, that's data they no longer need to store.
They really can't do the same token since then you can do a bunch of Kobold quests and get Vath rewards. They need to be distinct to the tribes to separate what you can buy with them.I was meaning even more simple then putting stuff into tabs. I get that they have bad design issues. As far as shrinking recipes, I'd be all for reducing the total number of materials needed, there's a TON of recipes at 60 that require an abhorrent amount of materials. However, like the beast tribes, the 5 different types of blood come from enemies of varying difficulty. Once again this is to force you to have to go to higher-level areas with higher level jobs to get those materials. Every single MMO breaks up their crafting like this, it's nothing new. The trouble is that none of the materials are never really unnecessary at the higher levels which forces you to hold on to far more materials than you should have to.
So what they're doing now is solving the technical aspect by working on the way they save the data as well as updating the hardware, and the PS3 support drop probably helped a bit too. It's a work in progress, and we're just going to have to be patient is all.
See where you feel that they can't do kobold and vath the same. In fact weren't the tokens added close to the same time for similar function except ixal. Lets take anima crystals you need 6 different for a total slots total of 18. Would it have been game breaking if each zone dropped the same one and just needed 18. Drop rates and recipe could have been adjusted. Five types of blood could equal one with scaling of need. If the high level mob has 75% drop rate and you need 5 imes as much people would farm the higher one anyways.
I feel that they made a decision to punish(yes punish) players in the current system by making poor choices. I would not feel so slighted if A) they had added more retainer space per account freely or B) evaluated the items in game since C) fixing inventory if it takes even to 4.2 since they said not at launch will be 2018.
They should also just overhaul the retainer system, and give the game a proper bank like every other mmo. I shouldn't have to talk to 4-8 npcs just for all my stuff. That's tedious.
They should put the token to key item too rather than our inventory
Yes please! Fix currency window as well.
I have 8 retainers.
4 are for glam and the other 4 are for crafting/gathering mats.
Even the way to talk to them is annoying.
> ring the bell.
> choose 1 retrainer.
> quit.
What if I needed to talk to multiple retainers? Repeat the process and watch them apear, talk, then talk again before they disappear.
