FC Leader Transfer

Hey all,

I've been away from the game for 14months due to my PS4 breaking haven't been able to get a new one for a long time and waited for the PS4 Pro.

Now that I'm back I've noticed that the FC lead went to another member, they have been active for all this time but only play casual now and again mostly they pop on and off after doing a few things and I have also noticed that the FC has not changed at all since I left except for a few members joining.

Now my question is how do I get Lead back?

Can I only transfer lead back if I ask the other member or is there a way I can contact Square Enix in case these things happen etc?


Also it is kind of ridiculous that I could of lost membership to my own actual FC that I created... spent over 100m on the FC house/furnishings, who thought this was a good idea from the SE dev team?

How do you get lead back? Well, you can ask the present leader if they would be prepared to give the FC back to you but they are under no obligation to do so.
I doubt Square will interfere. If an FC leader goes inactive it leaves members in a potentially horrible position where they might not be able to access things like gardens or the FC workshop. To avoid that situation, lead is automatically passed to the next most active member after a period of time.

I understand that it's upsetting to lose control of something you have invested time and gil into, and I hate to be that person but maybe this is something you should have looked into more when you set up the FC. At least the new leader seems to be a decent person and you didn't return to find yourself kicked or the house sold, both things they would have been entitled to do.

Hopefully you can work things out amicably with them.

Yep I talked to the other member they were decent enough to give me back the lead they just weren't online much but I still think this system is pretty much the dumbest thing I ever seen from XIV it's just as bad as the triple triad tournament system where you could basically win trade...

The problem I had when I was leaving was every member that I trusted either just left after the HW expansion because it wasn't really good in the 1st few months or they quit the game after they found out I couldn't play anymore usually happens when the leader ain't on since nobody can be bothered sorting out endgame events lol :/

Since there's no real main members left anymore, I feel like I being forced to kick 90% of the FC if I think I'll be gone for longer than 35days again... it really is a bad system... It should be optional in the settings of the FC where it will either automatically change leader if chosen or locked to 1 member as I feel this makes sense unless the leader is deleted then it should be auto or at least they should make it where the original founding members can't be kicked even if lead changes avoids the whole issue then.

I'm glad it worked out well for you in the end! Same thing happened to me recently. Unable to get on for a couple months so leader role got transferred. New leader took all our rare items from the bank and all the Gil we had managed to save up, a couple million, and left. It sucked, but at least we still had our furniture and house when she left the FC and leader transferred back to me.
