There are so many about female Au Ra Astrologians that I wouldn't even know where to begin.

There were a few posts on the healer subforum in some kind of "what is your least favorite healer/healing partner" or something...a few people mentioned consistently having unfortunate experiences with female Au Ra ASTs because they were VERY popular at the start of Heavensward (the job itself had a rocky start, too).

I myself never got any remarks re: my character race or gender, but even up until 3.3 I'd STILL frequently see my Weeping City runs ended with, "no offense, but you're one of the few good Astrologians I have ever had in my party".

I think these stereotypes are slowly banishing as the job ages, though.

Astrologians only ever give out AoE Bole, and they Royal Road Balance because it doesn't help them with their only role, healing. Oh, and they use Ewers on themselves, Scholars, and Dark Knights only because White Mages have enough water in their spells. Yes.

The fact that SCH sucks in the first floors of PotD. I heard that way too many times when I was running it often. Turns out we're bad just for a few levels and if the SCH remains terrible after unlocking more useful abilities, then that's not the job's fault

Derpgoon: Master of tanking the floor! Sadly, I have not mastered this art, and can only hold aggro on it occasionally. I also have not mastered the art of the Death Dive. I promise to improve before Stormblood.

Warrior: DELIVERANCE OR BUST! What's a defensive cooldown? I got HP for days! FELL CLEAVE ALL DAY! The allure of Berserked 3x Fell Cleaves is intoxicating, but party survival comes first.

I get angry with people who randomly come up and pull my tail. I mean what is the deal with that.

WHM spam Holy until they have 0 MP and it leads to a wipe.

-BRDs never sing and when I get into a group and sing people are like "Ty for the songs!!" "A BRD that sings gets my comm!"

-BRDs never get Balances because a BRD could neeeever beat a melee!

-High DPS means the melee did it because BRDs suck

-I play the "easiest" class

-I get no comms because people don't even notice I sing ;-;

or maybe it's just because I'm ugly..

Ones I've heard off the top of my head (not necessarily related to mains):

• A Dragoon's specialty is tanking the floor.
• Female Au'Ra Astrologians are more likely to be less skilled.
• WHMs are more likely to idle (not dps and/or needlessly top off tank).

All but the last I'm skeptical about. Sure Dragoons hit the floor, but so do all other DPS (especially melee). I don't see Dragoons hitting the floor anymore often than any other DPS, atleast not now. Same with Au'Ra Astrologian. I've run into many instances where the opposite was true, and another different race could be better with the class in question. We also have to remember there was a time where Astrologian really was an undertunned healer, at the same time Au'Ra were introduced (and players wanted to try out the new race). Could be related to where this idea came from.

The last, as much as I like WHM as a class, usually when I'm in a party with an idling or jumping healer, it's a WHM. Not that I'm a healer DPS extremist ( I prefer and recommend it), just something I notice. So I do have a little belief in that one.
