Negative stereotypes about your main!

Hello! I'd like to see what people see all the time as negative stereotypes about their main job. Is it an earned stereotype? Have YOU ever fallen into it?

I've seen a lot of stereotyping that PLD's park in Shield Oath way too much and don't actually put any effort to DPS via Goring or Royal. I've uh... Totally never done that. >_> Nope. Never.

Not sure if its a negetive stereotype or not. But sometimes it can be "hard" for 2 scholars to figure out who should off heal/dps in a raid situation. From my experience thing are always fine, but the is usually that first hitch of who is better at healing and DPSing. Though since we use DoTs we are usually okay.

There were a few posts on the healer subforum in some kind of "what is your least favorite healer/healing partner" or something...a few people mentioned consistently having unfortunate experiences with female Au Ra ASTs because they were VERY popular at the start of Heavensward (the job itself had a rocky start, too).

I myself never got any remarks re: my character race or gender, but even up until 3.3 I'd STILL frequently see my Weeping City runs ended with, "no offense, but you're one of the few good Astrologians I have ever had in my party".

I think these stereotypes are slowly banishing as the job ages, though.

MCH has a bit of a reputation for being extra squishy, especially due to the lack of any self heals. XD Rend/Dis can only do so much!

WHMs are often seen as haughty, impatient, sarcastic and blunt, complaining frequently about their groups and how much they have to carry everyone; generally at odds with their persona as depicted in lore.

As a WHM, I would just like to say that that is in fact 100% true.
