Negative stereotypes about your main!

WHMs are often seen as haughty, impatient, sarcastic and blunt, complaining frequently about their groups and how much they have to carry everyone; generally at odds with their persona as depicted in lore.

As a WHM, I would just like to say that that is in fact 100% true.

Mained WHM since beta and I'll confirm that I'm the exact opposite, though on occasion I carry groups but that happens to everyone at some point. Only stereotype i often see about my main is that it must heal on its own in raids you've yet to complete while the scholar dpses even when the tank is getting tank buster'd and the scholar won't even mention they'll be dpsing the whole time before the fight. Oh, and the dpsing healer stereotype as well. Especially funny when the scholar dpses and the tank is taking too much damage to survive making switching to cleric stance a risk in itself.

Ones I've heard off the top of my head (not necessarily related to mains):

• A Dragoon's specialty is tanking the floor.
• Female Au'Ra Astrologians are more likely to be less skilled.
• WHMs are more likely to idle (not dps and/or needlessly top off tank).

All but the last I'm skeptical about. Sure Dragoons hit the floor, but so do all other DPS (especially melee). I don't see Dragoons hitting the floor anymore often than any other DPS, atleast not now. Same with Au'Ra Astrologian. I've run into many instances where the opposite was true, and another different race could be better with the class in question. We also have to remember there was a time where Astrologian really was an undertunned healer, at the same time Au'Ra were introduced (and players wanted to try out the new race). Could be related to where this idea came from.

The last, as much as I like WHM as a class, usually when I'm in a party with an idling or jumping healer, it's a WHM. Not that I'm a healer DPS extremist ( I prefer and recommend it), just something I notice. So I do have a little belief in that one.

I see this all the time. It's so annoying that they don't realize they can easily outdamage people with Holy spam, lmao. Scholars and Astrologians in general are much better at their jobs than White Mages in my experience.

Astrologians only ever give out AoE Bole, and they Royal Road Balance because it doesn't help them with their only role, healing. Oh, and they use Ewers on themselves, Scholars, and Dark Knights only because White Mages have enough water in their spells. Yes.

The fact that SCH sucks in the first floors of PotD. I heard that way too many times when I was running it often. Turns out we're bad just for a few levels and if the SCH remains terrible after unlocking more useful abilities, then that's not the job's fault
