What is the fastest way to level up with Grand Companies? I am considering changing but I cannot remember how the grind was. Also will I have to do all the leveling of the Squadron all over again? I am already First lieutenant with mine.

You can max it out in roughly an hour + squadron time, just have items to trade for seals on hand, the dungeons you need are easily soloable and if you squadron is already lvl capped at 50 you just need to send them out on the lvl 40 mission again in the new GC to cap since your squadron will transfer with you, levels and all.

So I will need to collect seals for that company all over again or will my current seals just change/convert over?

Nope your current seals stay with the GC and will remain locked unless you rejoin that GC.

You will start in the new GC with 0 seals and need to earn them all again. But gear from the lvl 60 dungeons are worth 1k+ and if you are capped in your crafting/gathering jobs you get a ton of seals from those turn ins as well for the lower ranks and you will unlock that GC's hunt log which gives seals too. Recapping your seals can be incredibly fast.

The old ones will remain on your currency tab but will be grayed out. It's a good thing if you are like me and bounce between the GC just for a change of scenery now and then.
