Remove the One time character restore rule!

As the title says, I feel it's far past the time for the one time character restore rule to be removed. On FFXI this was removed after the 3rd year mark, Now ffxiv is in the third going on 4th year mark and I feel its time for this foolish rule to be removed. Many People have come and gone and return to only see that they screwed up by deleting there characters with no hope on a restore, This game is far too casual to have this rule remaining as people come and go depending on the update that is out.

What do you mean with character restore? I myself quit FFXIV for a year and came back, I don't want this to be changed or something. Don't quite understand what you hope to accomplish with this thread tbh.

Meaning allow players to have a character restored more then one time, In short If you delete your character and have it restored once You cant have it restored anymore after that, An I feel that needs to change.

If you're not going to play the game for a long time, don't delete your character in case you decide to return to the game. That's just incompetence.

Not everyone thinks like you, An it isn't Incompetence If a person deletes a character. Depending on what they are going threw or what they went threw in game it some times seems like the right move.

Then they should live with it then I think the fact that they allow the one time character restore is more then enough on SE part if you delete your character again after that that's fully on you.

I disagree with you wholeheartedly, I think its wrong to force a 1 time restore policy but yet they will sell Jump potions come next expansion to get people 50+ But not allow a person to recover a already built character.

What does what thing have to do with the other? I suppose they could add it as a paid service if it's taking time away from the GMs. Consider it a lesson though not to just brashly give in to emotions as there can be permanent consequences to doing so. Leave the character and just don't use it next time.

Escept that those were never intended to be used by returning players, but rather by new players who don't want to play through ARR and HW before they can get to Stormblood. Restoring a character is not as easy as tapping the magical gm screen with your glittery wand, and there's a good reason you can only use certain GM services such as character restoaration once. But plenty of people seem to think of the GMs and devs as the magical code-holders who can do absolutely everything with the game and the only reason they don't is them being big meanies. Please try to see the reason behind those restrictions before you go out and complain.

If it was the "right move" as you call it, you wouldn't be asking to restore your character, now, would you?
