Remove the One time character restore rule!

Why do you even delete your character in the first place? Just leave it there! On a side note: enough <insert cool name > level 1 characters being there for years now and se doesn't do shit about that. I find this interesting of most MMO companies, the cool names are all lvl1 so why not just rename those lol sometimes I don't get it.

I agree with you on the name part, Alot of good names are lock to level1s. But as for the deleting character part. Some people feel its the right more some times to either escape a bad group or a bad in game relationship, I for one felt that was the right move long ago and now regret it, All I am saying is its a really idiotic rule to force a 1 time restore policy but yet allow jump potions to be sold come next expansion instead of a character being allowed to be recovered more then once.

Eve Online did this two years ago. They went through trial accounts that were created up to year before and gave the characters generic names. Six million names were freed up.

I would agree but most would just make Erza a cat girl having no connection to the character any way. You can only see so many miss spellings of Sylvanas Windrunner miqote before you kinda give up on the idea of "character appreciation". Besides that, you can also be original... Never understood why people want to pretend to be iconic characters rather than make themselves the hero standing among icons...

Numerous reasons

- They can't think of any decent name themselves. As someone that has played a lot of mmo's in the last decade or so i have come up to some insane names all the way from "cheese" to "traffic light".
- They want to be that character rather then another blank slate. A lot of people see characters from this or other fiction and want to be that character and an mmo gives them the perfect chance to do that.

The reason why the limitation is in place is that the GMs don't want to go finding people's deleted character from the trash every time they decide to come back to the game. If you go through something nasty in game you can always realm transfer, change name and do a fantasia.

They don't go threw the trash for a character, The data is tied to the SE ID till its deleted by SE them selfs all they do is match details to what your requesting restore and whats closest on the id file.

SE Should not allow Jump potions to be sold if they will not remove the one time restore policy, Don't give me that crap it keeps people from buying gil and getting a free name change and etc. Whats gonna stop them from doing this with the jump potions? It just be on a much larger scale if this so called issue really exists.

Regardless it's extra work for the GM's and it's 100% your fault if anything they could add a charge for it but honest don't think it's worth the effort not many people delete their characters multiple times unless they get hacked and it that case SE would probably make an exception.

I have quit the game before and delete character never crossed my mind.
