Way too many folk angry about something that doesn't affect them.

I have lost items due to stupidity before. So what, I was stupid, I don't deserve them back. Now stuff bought from the Mog Station, just make those (aside from consumables like dyes and maybe housing items), unable to be discarded/sold etc. So you can't get rid of them. There we go, no need to call a GM about those. Buy them for the wrong character, too bad, deal with it, but they shoud include a double check after you insert your payment details to tell you what character they're going to. Check it's the right character, and then submit.

Because it takes away time from other GM responses. Yoshi has already said the FFXIV support team is very small. If you close off this avenue, it opens up more time for the GMs to handle things like dealing with harassment reports. RMT and the like is handled by the STF which is different, but the other things are all handled by the same team. If this comes across as vindictive then I'm extremely happy to be considered vindictive. And if you get me banned from the game permanently without appeal for it, I'll just play another game. I already have contact outside of the game with my closest friends in this game so no skin off my back. Yes I enjoy the game but getting permanently banned without appeal from it wouldn't be the end of the world to me.

They should add additional restores beyond the freebie to the mog shop.

I realize companies do things differently, however even WOW has a character restore client side, you do not even need to bother with a ticket.


Not sure why some people care if someone had a moment of weakness and deleted their toons, not like it would impact you in any way

Client side? That sound like open to exploits.

If you are hacked and someone else deleted your character and you need it restored, then I can understand your plea, but if you delete your character more then once out of your own free will, then why should the GM restore it? Isnt it better to just not delete the character in the first place?

Why in the seven hells would you delete a character you will want to recover later on!?...

Be glad there is a one time murdered character recovery and you're definitely not smart if you get to that point, even worse if you delete your main persona!...

You should consider therapy with a psychologist!...

Or just never delete your character just un-sub

As for if you need it restore because you got hacked. The One time password Grants unlimited restores do to hacks which wouldn't happen because you got the one time password.
