I am unsure if this has been suggested elsewhere as the forums have become so large and a daunting task to read with all the subforums and whiney posts lately. Anyhow, while I do not necessarily support the idea of active and passive modes, and the concept outdated the way it is currently implemented outside of DoW/M classes, I was wondering if there was any reason it hasn't been streamlined across all classes?

What I mean is that for DoW/M, going into active mode represents acting upon your class' purpose (combat). However, for DoL/H, it does nothing other than as a prereq for stone throw (which isn't used for any real purpose now or even before Stealth was added).

For DoH, why doesn't active mode just put you into synthesis mode?
For DoL, why doesn't active mode just put you into gather mode (while in range of a node of course)?

To me, this change would make sense. Furthermore, it is cumbersome that chocobos cannot be mounted while in active mode and also that resource finder abilities, such as Lay of the Land, Arbor Call, and Gulleye, cannot be used while mounted. Lastly, Stealth cannot be activated in active mode as, in fact, toggled off by it (not sure why this is even a feature). I am almost sure this has already been brought up in another thread, but it is relevant to this suggestion so I've placed it here.

Are there plans to change this SE? It would really add to the playability of crafting classes, but would really enhance gathering classes a lot.
