So I got a PS4... How do I add ffxiv?

So I got a ps4 for Christmas! But could anyone give me a step by step guide on how to add it to my existing ffxiv account (since I play on pc). Also, can I use a mouse and keyboard with the ps4? I've never owned a PlayStation before, so if anyone has tips for me too, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

You have to buy the ps4 version. There is no pc->ps4 conversion, so you'll have to redo your hotbars, macros, and gearsets.

yep you have to buy the ps4 version of the game like rawrz say, and yes you can play with mouse and keyboard, just make sure you activate the option in configuration.

and there is not hud data save on the servers so make pics on you phone about you skills configuration and interface and keyboard settings to make you work a lot more easy, enjoy it ^^

Unless you have a cheap computer it will likely be a downgrade graphically and performance wise, not to mention the psn problems you always hear people complain about. So sticking with PC may be your best bet since you would have to rebuy the entire game.

If you do decide to buy it however, just download it onto your ps4 and then enter your same log in information and it should pull your game up. You will need to redo everything from UI to hotbars to macros to everything so its usually a pain since you will need to constantly update these things on one platform or another as your gearsets and macros change.

Also know that when stormblood comes out will would need to buy both a pc and a ps4 version to have it on both as well.

You buy the game and install it and at first time set up it will ask you if you already have a SE account (which you log into) or need to create one.

The ps4 version is on a separate license. You need to add a service account for the PS4 to your account, and maybe the expansion. It's been awhile since i've done this.

Then when you go to download the PS4 version, you might need to go with the free trial version if they try to make you pay again. I'm super fuzzy on the details.

This does not work, at least for me.

When I log into Mog Station in a Squenix account with an active PC license and click the "Apply PS4 License" I get this:

To register the expansion for FINAL FANTASY XIV on the PlayStation®3 or PlayStation®4, you must purchase the digital download, or apply a registration code through the Sony Entertainment Network.
Upon completing registration and installation, start the game and follow the on-screen instructions to log in and add your license to your Square Enix account.
*The product code cannot be registered via the Mog Station.

I guess I might as well ask here, if you got an EU account and you bought the PS4 on NA, do you have to find an EU copy of the game like you would for PC?
