Thread: Maybe even out racial stats in 4.0

I was hoping in 4.0 something could be done to even out starter racial stats so they are even between all the races and tribes.

There exists a gap at end game due to the races and tribes having different stats.

My main job is PLD, I have all the best in slot gear except for the body. Now then I play an Au Ra Raen which has 6 less str and 3 less vit then their Xaela counterparts. The reason I play Au Ra Raen is I like the way they look. But at the end of the day no matter what I am missing stats that I could have if I just played Xaela.

The 6 str and 3 vit is similar to wearing an accessory that is 10 ilvls higher.

It just feels wrong that I would get a slight dps increase if I changed race. I really like the way Raen looks so I don't want to change, black/blue scales aren't my thing.

I respectfully disagree, I would sooner there be more differences between races than just keeping them all carbon copies of each other with different skins.

I disagree, if anything I want there to be even more differences between races, maybe even racial skills, more racial animations, gear and so on...those stats although nice aren't stopping you from doing anything in the game.

I agree completely with the topic creator! The stats difference is a bit of a let down and should even out the points. Not only aura but also the difference between hyur midlander and highlander, seekers of sun and Moon and not sure about the Elezen lol (is there a difference?) Why must looking cute be punished?

Why, clearly aesthetic choices should have gameplay implications!

Glamour flimsy clothing -> 50% less defense rating on the piece, 25% more DEX
Long hair -> Between 5% and 25% less accuracy total
Make-up on the face -> 30% more enmity/attention generation while not wearing/showing a full helmet
Body size -> Lower/higher strength and vitality proportional to the slider
Glamour Ishgardian church clothing -> 15% more piety total
Gowns, long dresses and heels -> Chance to stumble and be stunned for 2 seconds when running

Or put another way .. at level 60 (or even 30) a differences of 6 and 3 are so vanishingly small that's it's utterly irrelevant and worrying about it perhaps worrying itself.
