Urgent question about PSN login and FFXIV login

Hi! So I have a major issue with my PSN account - I can't sign in to the PSN network. It's a long story but I think the account will not be able to be recovered. I can easily create another account but would I lose my FFXIV info? I don't even mind downloading the game again if it came to that. I just don't want to lose my character details and such. I assume those are stored on the server, and I know my square enix login and FFXIV logins. Just my PSN ID would be different.

Also I don't care about trophies or any of that nonsense. I care about my character data -- inventory, retainers, housing, etc.

It should all be okay, though it will probably be a pain in the butt. Aside from the licenses to play on specific platforms, theres no major link between psn and ffxiv. Your character is safe with SE, and if sony ever held characters hostage I'd probably cry lol. The major pain would likely come from unlinking the psn account with your ffxiv account. I don't know if its as simple as logging in the account management or as tedious as going to customer support though. I'm not sure if you would have to rebuy ffxiv too. You would still have the ps3/4 license, but the new psn account wouldn't have the ARR/HWD purchase.

EDIT: i believe that character customization is saved locally though, so that is probably unrecoverable.

To my knowledge it might be extremely difficult cas once a psn account and se a count are linked I don't think they can be unlinked but don't quote me on that you might Wana try to talk with a gm directly or contact SEs customer support you can find there phone number on Google if you need it and don't Wana deal with the online chat thing

I don't know if your PSN can be unlinked from your SE account... but you still can play your character with your SE credentials on a PC (even a friend's PC). Your character data is saved on SE's servers.

You would have to rearrange all the UI, hotbars, gearsets and macros again
Character, levels and inventory are saved on the SE servers.

I don't know if you can unlink the SE account fom the PSN account, but you have to do it somehow if you want to link a new PSN account to the SE account.
Maybe it will be easier to fix the old account?

Well you do sign in with existing account when it asks you are you a current member or new member.

You would use current member then sign into the game.

You cannot use a new ID your character info would not cross over.

You should get GM to answer this question.

You will most likely need to repurchase the game if your using a new PSN ID but aside from that you should be ok

The problem is that only 1 PSN account can be linked to the same SE account. So the old link have to get removed somehow if he don't want to start at 0 again with a new SE account.

If nothing help then the only option would be to switch to PC.
Sony and SE should really start to work for a simple solution for problems like this

i don't mind redoing my hot bars or my character if it means I can access my account. I repurchased the game on a new psn account last night but the only options it gives me are to start fresh with a new se account or login to an existing account that doesn't have ffxiv registered to it.

There is no option to login to an existing se account with ffxiv registered.
