Some people enjoy leveling and learning their jobs can we start at level 30. Instead of 50 it makes more sense since jobs (including heavenward jobs) start at 30.

Please no.
I want my 30-50 job quests.
I'm mostly just worried about the Stormblood Jobs not getting fully fleshed out questlines if they start at 50 instead of 30...
At the release of Heavensward, every job had quests from 30-60. Some of them felt as though there was an unfortunate disconnect between 30-50 and 50-60, while others fared better and felt more cohesive. And all these jobs questlines will see further developments from 60-70 come Stormblood's release, I imagine.
As it stands however, Stormblood's own new jobs will only have from 50-70, giving them only half as much room for a story as every other job.

It's not the same, and as others have said it'll help build RDM story. Not everyone likes POTD.
Honestly people nowadays are too lazy they don't even want to level jobs. It doesn't make sense to be a trained/student RDM if your basically a high level. And this change would help new players that do not want to use leveling potions or that want to experience lower level dungeons.

How do you know your 50 to 60 isn't one giant job quest where they give you little pieces at a time like they do in WoW. Yes you start at level 50 but we don't have anything definite saying that they're just gonna go "oh hey you're a RDM now see you at 55"
It seems much more likely that Stormblood's new jobs will follow the same leveling scheme for 50-60 as set out in HW, a quest every 2 levels.
It also seems likely they will continue this in Stormblood for 60-70, though they have stated that they plan to be more creative about how Job Skills are gained, rather than just having one as a reward with each quest.
Stupid double post! I'll take the opportunity to say that I think they will really do up your story quest and really let you get to know RDM if it starts at 50. They know how much rdm is loved there's no waythey are going to make the leveling/learning/experiencing uh... experience suck and not give you what you need.

I'm pretty sure they can build a lot of story in the 20 levels between 50-70, like they did with nin, drk, ast, mch. Also ARR and HW questlines aren't really related, so having 5 extra quests, wouldn't really do much. I wouldn't be opposed to it if it started at 30, and having lots of extra job quests, but...that's a lot of extra content, that takes lots of time, and costs. Most ppl don't like lower lv content, which is why they are possibly adding lv jump potions, and increasing starting levels of new jobs; remember they key concept of FFXIV is: catch up easily; starting at lv1 would annoy most ppl, even 30 is borderline, cause you still don't have any actual job skills then. So you start at 50, and it actually feels like you actually are *insert job* instead of *insert class* with a job stone that doesn't do anything yet.
ast/drk/mch didn't even get prev relics, and rdm/sam wont get ARR or HW relics either, it's just outdated content; they want to focus on Stormblood content, not lv 30 content.
So, PotD or instances will be your only option, if you want to learn your job, step by step, from lv1
