That would be too complicated. Just let us do both.I wouldn't consider it wasted. I think we need more varied content like this, rather than the grind grind grind of tomestones all the time. A gold saucer revamp is needed though, but the only way it'd get used is if it offered the best possible gear. I don't envy SE's position trying to make the gold saucer work.
Usable gear from Gold Saucer would be nice, so long as it's not extremely overpowered.
I disagree. However what they could do (which they could also add to Chocobo Racing/Lords of Verminion) is if after x amount of time in the queue, it starts populating with NPCs. So after a while you're at least GUARANTEED a pop. Even if it's with AI.

Letting you do both would mean anyone who does it would just do the single player version. The multiplayer version would be DOA. Whereas I believe by allowing NPCs to populate the queues after a while (aren't they already thinking of placing NPCs into dungeons as our teammates?) it would encourage more people to queue as they know they would at least get a pop after a while. Whereas a single player version and a multiplayer version? Who would queue for the multiplayer version if there's a single player version there. I'm also looking at how to create more multiplayer interaction within the game as a whole (it is an MMO after all, lest we forget).
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
