How many people are excited for Endwalker?

I am looking forward to the Endwalker chapter! I wish it was coming out sooner, but the world in which we live has changed because of covid 19.

I am excited for a new story line. BTW I just started shadowbringers. I know some people here are highly critical of the story but I am enjoying it immensely. I can only speculate what a new story will be. I hope we get to dive into time travel, I want to find out who the WoL is and if the WoL was ever a WoD at some point? Maybe the WoL is the balance and just hops from role to role. Or maybe the WoL had a family at some point.

I am looking forward to Endwalker.

Hmm I would rather say I'm more excited about the story after endwalker (7.0), because personally ShB story left a sour note for me. But aside from it, yeah I can't wait for sage/reaper and the savage raids (I need more lahabrea content).

As for the WoL, are you talking about our player character/our WoL? They are internationally left blank so you can choose your own background.

It'll be interesting to see the conclusion to the Ascian/Garlemald story arc, so I'm definitely looking forward to the story.

My expectations for dungeons, raids and gameplay in general are modest at best; over the past couple of expansions those aspects of the game has become increasingly formulaic and uninteresting. But that's okay, I'm playing for the story and to have fun with my friends.

I mean, I am, but honestly I'm so very excited for what will follow. We've had The Garlean/Ascian threat going on for so long that I just can't wait to see a completely new journey. I think that's what made Heavensward and Shadowbringers especially incredible, they felt like self-contained stories without too much Garlean involvement. The Ascians were of course there to varying extents, and Garleans did pop up from time to time, but it was absolutely more about other more immediate villains for much of their plotlines. I like the overarching storyline but I get way more excited about the "new" when I play FFXIV expansions.

I'm super excited whenever I think about the possibility of going to Meracydia someday and getting more of the dragon history.

I'm hyped for many reasons.

1) just for progression alone. I want to see more content.
2) Reaper. Since Sam is the only class I really like. I hope Reaper feels a void for a style I enjoy.
3) Story i mean duh? Seeing the new story.
4) New housing and chance to get one.
5) The farming system.
6) Gold Saucer content.
7) Server changes, and able to play with people in other clusters.
8) Seeing if they change trust system. (hoping.)
9) All the class changes. How they going to counter skill bloat that is sneaking up on them.
10) New grinds. I mean i want to see what they do with fates if they going to add new systems like they did in shadow.

I'm cautiously optimistic. So far, it's mostly the Garleans and the Ascians that have appealed to me. The characters I like amongst the protagonists are woefully underutilised - such as Hien, who really got shafted in the most recent patch. Unfortunately the protagonist characters that I dislike seem to show up with greater frequency by comparison...

So I'm hoping we get a satisfying conclusion for the story arcs that have been present up until now. I also hope what we get in the future is self contained and satisfying.

Reaper is very much to my tastes and I hope it means more darker jobs in the future.

I need to see the job changes (especially with healers) before I can get excited for it. If it's another two years of me spamming glare it goes straight into the trash can.

I'm looking forward to the end of the Garlean/Ascian story line, it's been going on a bit too long (especially the current BBEGuys) and I just want it over with. It'll be nice to see what other lands and adventures we can see and get up to. I very much hope we'll see an end to One Hero To Rule Them All, though that may be a bit too-wishful thinking.

I know lots of players create their own back stories and it's important for RPers. I don't have that much creativie energy. I use to, but I would like to have some indicator of the WoLs past. Even if it's a we don't know where you came from type of thing. Because as my characters a WoL I often wonder how I would feel walking around just doing for everyone else all the time with no thought to my feelings or needs. I am hoping Endwalker produces closure for this chapter of the WoL and what we will transition to. I want to try reaper also looks interesting. Farming actually looks fun and of course new dungeons and raids. Totally excited for it. With the influx of new players I hope there will be more content in the future and more frequently.
