If anything, people should be praying for both a new tank job and that Square finds a way to make tanking more appealing if at all possible.

Lets say SAM is made into a dps job. Are there any jobs left in the series that could fill the tank role?

Shogun?
No but seriously, I really love the idea of SAM tank being called Shogun, and FF14 have a little track record of changing names of jobs + the name has been thrown around quite a bit now.
There are a few though, but I can't think of many... Mystic Knight is the best one that comes to mind
There are also original jobs they could tap into, personally would love to see Crusader... uses a Hammer and Holy magic but offensively to make a high DPS tank, IDK.
