    DRG's armor might be branded mail, but you can't argue the fact some of it looks equally heavy or even heavier. Also some sets like the 24 man raid's share the same appearance but tanks get cloak or something additional.
    I could picture SAM wearing DRG gear easily, because I could also picture them wearing tank gear.
