So... Where's the English? (Tokyo FanFest Stream)

So... Parts of the Keynote get live translation but nothing else does? And the English "recaps" assume I watched over an hour in a language I don't know to see any visuals and explain little in the pathetically small amount of time they're given.

So how do I get a refund?

There's no point in paying a damn thing if I could just read it all on Reddit faster, and with more comprehensive and accurate information, than the official stream and "recaps". Really, really disappointed with this and expected better treatment after how E3 was handled.

Its more being able to watch it and see stuff vs reading on reddit.

As for how to get a refund, no idea. Contact support I guess. They should at least be able to point you in the right direction.

Recap... Well, recap. Live Letter? Nope! Twenty minutes between its end and the Costume Contest start filled with ten minutes of set re-arrangement with (what I think was) laptop advertising and another ten minutes of talking about The Primals concerts both past and future. So the Live Letter didn't even follow the stated "English-language recaps after each segment" format at all.

Because I tuned in at the one-hour mark expecting them to follow the format they'd stated, having English recaps afterwards, and didn't see the point in sitting through it once in a language I don't know and again in one that I do. Except, of course, the recap was pretty sad and wasted a chunk of time showing off con swag that anyone watching the stream could only get off of EBay. Hence my disgruntled state.

That's the issue. There have not been any recaps or summaries since the only segment that was already in English. It's especially annoying given that a Western audience probably has little or no idea what is happening with the crossover event, which is very Japanese. Even a brief overview would have been better than the Japanese computer hardware advertisements they've been serving us instead.

They are literally recapping all the things and announcements now. In English.

My only real complaint is it would have been nice what was being discussed with the guest directors. Especially in the live letter. A lot was being said, too bad it was all in Japanese with nothing reviewed or recapped in English.

Which would have been completely reasonable had they announced it was going to be out of order/delayed by a couple of hours, but that announcement didn't take place when they interviewed Soken, nor did it happen during the next break when they interviewed Susan. Saying "but it happened!" as a counter argument is disingenuous when you sidestep the context.

Of course, there is also the fact that the panel didn't remember what was said during the interview, and decided not to give out any information regarding the in-game aspects of the crossover beyond where to watch the trailer.
