Red mage doesn't fit the Ala Mhigan theme either, seeing that it's clearly coming from Sharlaya. The new jobs don't need to be tied with Ala mhigo in the slightest, especially since they start out in 2.0 areas.

Didn't Ishgard already have their own brand of Astrologian? Part of the AST 30-50 quest was about trying to bring the Sharlayan branch of Astrology to the Ishgardian branch.

This is more of a localization thing, atleast in Japan the way its spelled or something is similar but ends up being two different things. It didn't become a thing until Astro was announced, though it isn't really much of an issue.

Basically though Ishgardian Astros, if they DO fight, do not fight anything like Sharlayan/Player Astros.

Also you can edit posts to bypass the 1000 char limit, and it doesn't count against your posting limit.

As for adding things in now for Stormblood, it'll make downloading 4.0 easier when it actually comes out because there will be a little less to download by then.

I have no difficulty in believing that they would add stuff in patches over a period of time in order to alleviate the Stormblood download. However why would they include such a big spoiler as the number of new jobs and what that job is (there was only red and sam listed besides the current jobs, so no third job).

So my question is why jump the gun and put those files so early on? Why not add those files in the patches after the German fan festival? We have another big patch coming up in march correct, so why not just add these spoiler files then and there?

-shrugs- I know as much as you do, possibly less. Honestly given that the devs KNOW datamining is going to happen and given that speculation here has sometimes gotten very wild, a part of me believes it was added to try and calm things down early. Either that or for some reason they believed it wouldn't be found so quickly.

Yeah I have no idea for this either...if they truly didn't learn from the SCH and SMN incident, then gg them lol unless they have another secret job/content surprise at Germany. If it is only SAM, and that was spoiled in the dats...then what can I say, it'll be a pretty boring event already knowing heh. This is SE we talking about tho...
