I do think we're getting Samurai this expansion. I just think the Spiderman shirt references Blue Mage. That makes the most logical sense.

I think Yoshida was trying to be a bit clever with the shirt tease, and perhaps didn't realize the connection to blue mage that players started theorizing. Or he intentionally did it to create confusion/multiple theories to keep players guessing. Samurai was already highly expected to be coming from past comments, and so a shirt that would make it obvious it was indeed coming would have been far too easy and so he chose to go with a more bizarre approach that's a bit of a stretch to make players doubt it.

I had actually been thinking this was probably the case too; seeing as how the Scarlett Witch one didn't really take that much deep thinking to understand / be able to connect the dots
