Except Heavensward was the headliner for Heavensward. There wasn't a singular job added in heavensward that was overly used in any marketing or representation. In fact arguably Machinist would be the one (if there was one) considering Yoshida made appearances dressed as one on a few occasions.
New jobs are a selling point for the expansion but they're hardly anything close to something considered a headliner. And in fact, the jobs the expansion's focused on were Dragoon for Heavensward and now Monk for Stormblood. Used in the cgi trailer and to represent our characters in promo material (the derplander). So the same can be done if we ever go Othard with Samurai no matter when it was added.
Also you assume we are ever going to Othard. FFXI went through how many expansion's before they ever stepped foot in the far east? And when they finally did in their last chapter, it was in an incredibly restrictive way and not a full fledged location.
The same will likely happen here, there's so many places we are far more likely to go that are much closer to Eorzea that it will be a very very long time before we are potentially heading to othard.

Well, if you think about it, DRG was the focus for Heavensward, even though it existed before. MNK will be the focus for Stormblood even if it existed before.
So, by that logic, SAM could exist before the Doma expansion and still be the focus.
As for the poster new job, we still have a long list of them...DNC, BST, BLU...

Or Ninja could be the poster job for an Othard expansion. Or SE could put two jobs up there as the poster jobs; Ninja -and- Samurai. Or neither could be the poster job.Well, if you think about it, DRG was the focus for Heavensward, even though it existed before. MNK will be the focus for Stormblood even if it existed before.

Anyways, given all the latest things found in game and such, I'm starting to wonder if the Spiderman Shirt -will- reference Samurai. There are far better shirts for it. Up until now all the shirts have been very straightforward, but Spiderman = Samurai is a leap of logic.
