I don't think the Sam Raimi thing is legit, but let's be clear: He didn't shoot down the idea, he just said just said that there have been multiple directors. Until the new job is announced officially, they're not going to confirm or deny anything. If someone had asked Yoshida about the 007 shirt saying, "James Bond is known for his use of guns and gadgets, is the next job related to that?" Yoshida might have responded, "Oh, but he's also known for his skills of seduction and enjoyment of martinis, isn't he?"

In the end the discussion about dancer as a possible job is exactly the same about it being a Blue Mage because "reasons". I mean this whole thread is about the speculation of a shirt with the wildest reasons, yet somehow people that speculate that the girl is a dancer are the worst?

We dont know anything. They could turn around and make four new jobs (Red, Blue, Samurai, dancer) or we will only get two. Maybe the girl is a dancer but we wont get it as a new job. Or maybe we are all wrong and the next class is something completely different. But Yoshida wants some discussion for this so why are some people trying to stop it? Its really funny to read some speculation and as long as its without any hurtful comments why not just let people speculate whatever they want? And if its about wrong information one can still counter it but why try to be so aggressive about it?

I am happy about any class we get as long as its fun to play. At the same time I enjoyed reading all the reasons in this thread until it somehow turned away from being a funny, simple discussion to people putting others down for their opinions..If you dont think that its going to be class X because reason Y..well thats fine. But why try to change peoples mind? Why not ignore it and just post your own speculation about the next reveal? Its really sad. :/

Where you are quite wrong is that there are things we "DO" know, and it seems that quite a few people have absolutely no idea what deductive reasoning skills are. You cannot twist facts to support a narrative that isn't there. Speculation isn't a blanket statement for: "I want this! So be damned the logic and facts!"

1: After Heavenward released Yoshi and team said they were never going to do 3-4 job releases that close together ever again, and at most, we'd get 2 at a time going forward. ROG/NIN with 2.4, DRK/MCH/AST with 3.0. So, with that "FACT" we know that we can only expect 2 jobs for this expansion. Not 3 or even 4.

2: Every single shirt 'tease' has been on the nose. Batman - Dark Knight. 007 - Machinist. Scarlet Witch - Red Mage. Spider Man DOES NOT equate dancer even in the slightest.

3: Not a single teaser trailer has ever 'showcased' a new job prior to it's announcement. It's entire purpose is to showcase the titular job of that expansion. Stormblood is all about Ala Mhigo and MONKS. Two Monks sparing on the Hand of Rhalgr. Not a Monk and a watered down monk clone in a flowy dress doing stylized "IN GAME" monk abilities. I guess if it quacks like a duck, it's gotta be a dancer right? That's just plain ignorance about martial arts there.. but whatever..

Those are the things we know and is what speculation should be focused around. Not wild theories that equate to: "I want this, so be damned the facts!"

Rampant ignorance is the only thing that people are trying to stop or stamp out. Because as my earlier post said: There will be people who come raging to the forums when dancer isn't announced (and It really won't be), wondering why it was cancelled because it was confirmed! All due to poorly informed "speculation and deductive reasoning."

Normally yeah, but according to my theory before, it sadly does. If they combine Dancer with Puppetmaster, it will possibly feature strings so you get it from there. Again, I dislike that possibility.

Correct. As well as showcase the main NPC players on the stage. Heavensward was dragons vs dragoons, as well as the upheaval of the city states. All of which were represented in the trailer. (And if we want to talk about inaccuracies, look at the dragon in the HW CGI trailer.)

I believe the Stormblood trailer is showcasing monks (maybe even opposing philosophies of said monks) as well as Yda (or her sister) training to fight for her people. But that's just speculation.

We got 4 jobs in a very short time frame - ROG/NIN, DRK/MCH/AST. We are only getting 2 new ones for Stormblood.

Again, twisting fact to fit a non-existent narrative, and yes you are doing it out of sheer desire. As I said, ALL the teased jobs were on the nose. Minimal effort required to figure it out. I want to agree, but he also said "spider-webber". That kinda focuses more into the web/string aspect of the job rather than the "how he got powers".

The problem was the release of Rogue/Ninja (class + job, ouch) several month before the 3 others jobs. Because of the adjustement to do for Ninja after, I'am sure this delayed the work for the three others and put too much work for less time than planned.
+ The event Moonfire Faire 2016 teased the number of jobs we will get for 4.0 (Yoshida said it himself)
There is no clue except the number of Posing Rangers which is 3 !
And if it's not three jobs for 4.0, it could be two for 4.0 and one for 4.1-4.2...

As far as we know, they attempted to tweet that RDM is going to be one of the 2 new jobs for Stormblood and ended up removing that tweet. That could mean 2 things:

1) It was wrong and they didn't want to tweet false information
2) It was true and they wanted our hype to be more intense due to speculating for more than 2 jobs

If case 1 is true, we will simply get 3 or more jobs. If 2 is the case, then they are aware that 2 jobs is a negative scenario and want to make it less of a marketing point.

If we indeed get only 2 jobs, I expect them to make truly in-depth changes to existing jobs instead.

Yes, if there are truly 2 new jobs, I think this is what will happen.

The thing to see is the time player will take in DF for his role to enter in dungeons.
We know, 3 news jobs with 1 by role is the ideal case.
But if there is 1 role missing, it could be a problem.

That's why already, we couldn't have 2 new DPS, it would be insane.
But, 1 tank + 1 dps and adjustments for all others existing jobs, it could work, even if it's less than the same configuration with 1 healer added.
