I have an idea what if blue Mage learns all their skills from the job quests and the introductory quest is a huge magic hunt quest to gain 18 spells for the tentative level 50 starting level. And instead spells learned out of the story quest are only for glamour.

For example you learn goblin punch as your introductory level 1 spell. Then go out into the field and learn bludgeon. Therefore you would go to the blue magic menu and change the animation to your new learned spell. Potencies/additional effects will remain the same. This way yoshi-p won't have to worry about players being judged for not having certain spells.

Amusingly enough I've seen someone interpret that in the opposite manner. Crimson being the fires of the Dragonsong War and Azure being the upcoming water / ocean exploration. ...I can't agree with their interpretation, but /shrug

People are reading way too much into stuff like the blue and red aura in the Stormblood CGI video.

It's not like any other job in the game has a glowing blue aura...oh wait



And it's not like our main hero represented in these trailers has been the job that had that aura....oh wait



It's not like the primary color for Heavensward was Blue/Azure and that Stormblood is Red/Crimson. People are reaching way hard with this.

I didn't read the whole thread, but that other fighter with the monk looked more like a dancer to me.... Just my 2 cents

I don't think we WON'T get Samurai in Stormblood, I just think the next reveal will be Blue Mage as per the hint on Yoshi P's shirt. I can see why they wouldn't want to add a new Healing Class when our current three are already struggling to find balance and identity with one another. I imagine that's a big reason Red Mage is going to be DPS. I could see Blue Mage being DPS, with Samurai as a tank. Conversely, I think I wouldn't mind if Blue Mage was a Tank, and Samurai was a DPS.

I don't understand how anyone who's ever played any of the final fantasy games can assume that the Lady in Red is a Dancer.

From many of the old final fantasy games, they were mainly support classes, healing and causing status affects to the enemy party. I think in once of the games the Dancer job bore daggers as its weapon.

I've never heard of or seen a Dancer in the final fantasy games showing so much prowess in Martial Arts, with powerful kicks, formidable defense with blocking and parrying, high movement speeds, and the stances she held.

Can someone explain why they look at her and see Dancer? and please don't say because she's a woman, wearing revealing clothing, and she's moving around.

Exactly, they're so desperate for dancer that apparently they're willing to accept the idea of a dancer being virtually indistinguishable from a monk.

The woman in red is a monk, period.

Because she looks like one? IRL, martial arts and dancing are quite supplementary disciplines, as both require physical fitness and control. Heck, some martial arts even evolved from dances and vice versa.

The main hallmarks of a dancer in Final Fantasy are: Status effects, revealing clothing and low stats. The rest differs per game. It's fairly easy to see it as one if you want to see it as one.
And, to bridge the gap to the topic at hand, the spiderman T-shirt also allows people to easily interpret whatever they want into it.

Note: That is an explanation, not a justification. I personally am pretty sure it's meant to be a monk, but Yoshi said "Please speculate", so /huh.
