It make more sense for Blue Mage more then Samurai because of how Spider-Man got his powers. I would like to see both but I'm leaning toward Blue Mage personally. I've always had a thing for the "use the powers of the enemy against them" thing.

Didn't really have skin in the SAM vs. BlU game, but videos of Nioh have made me very nostalgic about SAM. I'm about one bandwidth cap away from regaining access to my old FFXI account and taking SAM for a whirl again.
If I was to name a far-fetched idea as a future job addition I'd love, that would be a Necromancer Healer with Scythe.

And yet my post a page or two back was actually a pretty concise synopsis of the interview. The one piece of information that I did not remember (and quite frankly don't care) was him talking about how he wasn't sure if they would go the DPS or tank route with SAM.Dramatic is a matter of opinion, ignorant is a statement that is unfortunately true. You obviously have access to the internet so you have the very same tools that i do to confirm your statements. The ability to conduct research is a skill taught to grade schoolers (information easy enough to gain with in two minutes), so yes i will vilify that laziness/ignorance, i mean your only misrepresenting another person by stating their comment partially to strengthen your view point.
So if you think it's ignorant, so be it. However it's no more ignorant than you claiming to know a complete stranger's intentions.

The most amusing part of this is the assumption I am misleading facts hoping SAM is a certain role. The reality is I don't care one bit about SAM and have no interest in the job no matter what role it takes. But, carry on speculation on people's intentions.
For me, even though I prefer SAM tank as a tank player, I also like dps possibility. That is mainly because I like SAM anyways and also because I never had an interest to gear a dps as alt before.
With the above being said, SAM will either be another tank on my arsenal or my first actual dps alt option. Thus, win-win in a sense.
However, what I do fear is the possibility of not getting SAM at all.

It is highly unlikely that there will not be SAM at all, slight chance not in Stormblood but it will be implemented eventually.
Even though i myself think Sam is way overhyped, lol
Dancer or riot!
I believe it is a bit reverse here. Samurai is very hyped because it features so many things that appeal to many audiences. On the other hand, Dancer has a very specific audience and it is actually the one job being overhyped despite having a more narrow appeal.

It may be true but like i said, i myself find it overhyped because nothing from SAM really appeals to me even if i love swords. I just feel the combat may be very boring in ffxiv, of course depends how they implement it.
Some players also really think Blu may also be a candidate but Dancer is far more popular and wanted then that job.
We shall see in a few days![]()
Someone on Reddit had brought up that YoshiP had mentioned to look closer at the story of Spiderman.
One thing I've noticed folks over looking is that Spiderman's alter-ego Peter Parker in the movies is a Chemistry student before he picks up his job as a Photographer.
So what if the Job is Chemist?
