I still keep up the hope that we will get at least three new jobs. I mean we wont get any new race either so imo it would feel kinda bad if we also only get two jobs. I love quests and yet I know that after you did them once you wont do them again (only if you level an alt) so having new jobs is imo often the thing that will keep people playing longer and gives the most new feeling and diversity. (This is all just my opinion)

The main issue the dev team had with HW was that they had just made the NIN job and they had a lot less time to make DRK, AST, and MCH than they have had with Stormblood. So while the dev team might have complained at that time about having to make 3 jobs (in many ways 4 jobs with NIN), there's really no reason for them to complain with Stormblood. They haven't been rushed and have a lot more time and money to work with.

Much rather have new jobs then throw away quests. Since the team isn't having to make a new race and if indeed the new budget is super high I would hope there is at least 3.

I hope your right. But I'm holding onto 2 jobs and going to be pleasently surprised at the announcement of 3 jobs. I won't be disappointed at only 2 jobs though.. well as long as they aren't both DPS. I play all 3 roles but in an order of preference it's Tank > Healer > DPS. So as long as it's DPS/Tank or DPS/Healer I'll be happy.

Although I will be really disappointed if there is nothing big coming to characer customization, with no new race coming there seems to be no excuse for only 3 hairstyles. I wouldn't even mind just some extra face options and maybe just maybe have Au Ra horns separated from the face... I don't even play Au Ra and I'm really happy with how my character looks right now, but I would love some more variety in the player base looks.

I know what your implying. And for your sake I really hope we get DNC.. As long as I get my SAM No but seriously I think DNC fits Stormblood too well and if there is a 3rd job it just makes sense to be DNC. Again, I won't be disappointed if we don't get it, due to my selfish desire for SAM. But at least if DNC also came... so many people would be happy. Oh well, we'll see in 2 weeks.

SAM needs to be added. If in 2 weeks time we see BLU revealed, my money will be on SAM being added as a third job, like AST was. If its SAM which is revealed, I'd hope for DNC to be added as the third class.

If only we could have 4 jobs this expansion. Though that leaves the question, what would they possibly add for 5.0? Dancer and Blue Mage both feel like they'd fit an Ala Mhigo setting. Red Mage, not so much. Samurai is obviously Doman, but we don't wait to go to a place to get a job from it, we usually just get a job or two from a place we -do- go to.
