I hate to think about it but if its really only 2 classes that just means we are going to be stuck without Samurai & Dancer or Blue Mage & Samurai or Dancer & Bluemage for what about 2 years or so depending on how long till the next expansion

Not entirely true. IIRC Ninja was released mid expansion. Whose to say we won't be getting one mid expansion this time as well.
