What a disappointment that was too. I like FATEs, but HW FATEs are still not what they should be. Would rather run dungeons, or grab beast tribe and hunts if pressed for time. You may not like running FATEs, but they'd be new FATEs in new areas and SE absolutely wants people doing them. They botched it with Heavensward's launch by making the 3.0 FATEs not worth doing exp wise which resulted in people spamming northern thanalan FATEs instead, so they likely won't make that mistake again.
What time does the German fan fest start? Then we should know the last job.
It would be incredibly silly to not think about the market in every marketable activity you do in an mmorpg, and as you remove stats the stats left become more important to be divided intelligently. To make repeated simple mistakes like that would be troublesome, of course by themselves it wouldn't be a massive issue but would likely reveal small differences in price growing as demand (we already have that, purposely exaggerating differences would be worse - being mindful of what you have, or paying attention to rates is all you need though). It is definitely not nonissue but solutions available are quite simple (like adjusting rates of materia drops).Materia? Really? Materia use and consumption has pretty much zero impact on determining new jobs and their main stats. That's such a non-issue man. The materia economy isn't going to just explode. Not to mention, they've talked about things like removing/majorly altering the Parry and Accuracy stats, and have made adjustments to Determination in the past which will have and has had impacts on materia markets/value. The effects of the market value of materia is of zero consideration or importance for them I can assure you.
I have no doubts they'll add more FATEs and want people to partake in the new areas, but I do not like FATEs. They're a boring content, imo (due to the two common extremes, zerg or entirely vacant - in which both scenario FATEs have issue balancing well to). Would much rather have the best spam EXP source be PotD or dungeons (roulette makes them great for the first go at least). You may not like running FATEs, but they'd be new FATEs in new areas and SE absolutely wants people doing them. This is the best way.tanks, healers, and dps are close to their ideal ratio of 1:1:2, the same as light party compositions. 3 tanks, 3 healers, 7 dps. Adding 2 new dps jobs unbalances this ratio, making it a 1:1:3 ratio.
Thus, adding 1 tank, 1 healer, and 1 dps actually makes it a true 1:1:2 ratio, thus balance is restored. See? I can do it too.
1 new dps per tank, 1 new dps per healer.
PLD, WAR, DRK, BLU - 4
MNK, DRG, NIN, MCH - 4
BLM, SMN, RDM, BRD - 4
WHM, SCH, AST, DNC - 4
Perfect duty finder balance.
(Probably, maybe, not BLU or DNC though)

For some reason I get really excited about the idea of running dungeons with a Blue, Red, Black, White party![]()
2 dps will balance it out?
Queue times would then go either way, either longer then it is currently (which is absolutely disgusting) or shorter times (have doubts)
RM is of course dps but i really do not think more dps is needed. A new tank and possibly healer is a better way to go
I can't wait I'm so excited. I'm going to bed early so I can wake up at 4:30. I need to purchase my stream when I get off today.
Well in the end I dont care what we will get as long as its fun to play. (But I do hope we will get more than two jobs otherwise I find it kinda lazy.)
My prediction: next to red mage we will have dancer and samurai.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
