While there's no confirmation, there is a high likelihood that PotD may not benefit someone past 60. When Heavensward launched, all the level 50 dungeons provided no experience points for quite some time because SE wants people in the new areas/dungeons. This same logic can be applied to PotD, ideally SE doesn't want people just cramming into PotD instead of actually doing the expansion content.

Good point, I'd completely forgotten about that---RIP... Can only hope it won't be the case this time but definitely not holding my breath for that change either. While there's no confirmation, there is a high likelihood that PotD may not benefit someone past 60. I've heard that 50-60 is more efficient through regular dungeons instead. Could always be wrong. However, for your first char, you would want to follow the 4.0 dungeons and story and not grind in PoTD. Therefore PoTD won't be a quality option in case DF is busted.
