Chemist would be the only case where their abilities would -literally- consume the materials without any chance of refund, recyle, repair, or re-use.
The MCH bullets are not made of aether and certainly not their wildfire bombs which are clearly machinery, not to mention other ones I forgot, such as their grenado shot, and ricochet. Aether doesn't do that, it doesn't create complex machines out of thin air. A BRD can fire an infinite number of arrows without ever "collecting them". I guess Ninja's carry an infinite number of throwing daggers for their throw dagger and death blossom, or how about their fuma shuriken? You're making excuses at this point to hand wave away all the examples that prove your nitpicking to be the weak argument it is.

There is absolutely ways to explain even from a lore perspective on how or why a chemist's components aren't consumed. Something as simple as having a collection of items that when a type of aether is applied to them results in a certain thing happening yet doesn't destroy/consume the items involved, in which case they "retrieve" the items after throwing them just like how you tried to explain every other job that does it.

There's zero reason Chemist couldn't work when we have Machinist in this game.
